Chapter sixty one

DAVINA’s POV

I couldn't believe Raiden was still living with me. It was like a constant reminder of the heartache he caused me. But I had to keep up appearances for the sake of the contract.

As I walked into the kitchen, I saw Raiden cooking up a storm. The aroma was heavenly, and I had to admit, it smelled amazing.

"What are you cooking?" I asked, trying to keep my tone neutral.

"Stir-fried vegetables and shrimp," he replied, not looking up from the stove.

I scoffed. "Since when did you become a chef?"

He chuckled. "I've always known how to cook, Davina. You just never bothered to ask."

I rolled my eyes. "Well, I don't need you cooking for me. I can take care of myself."

Raiden turned to face me, his expression serious. "I know you can. But let me do this for you. It's the least I can do."

I hesitated for a moment before reluctantly agreeing. "Fine. But don't expect me to thank you."

Raiden grinned. "I won't."
