Chapter 32~ Regret

Rex.

“Alpha, where have you been? We’ve been looking for you.”

Reece and Zane say the moment they see me and I pause when I see the worried looks on their faces. A sense of unease settles in the pits of my stomach as I think of the worst.

“What’s wrong? Did something happen?” My stomach twists when they evade my gaze and I know something is definitely wrong.

“Speak!” I growl.

“The Luna has gone missing and we’ve received a note,” Zane reports.

Fear creeps into me at their words. I feel numb as they hand me the familiar note and when I read it, my whole world comes crashing down on me.

‘Follow the clues if you want to save her. Come alone. Bring your Beta. She’s dead. Bring your warriors and leave them to lurk in the darkness. She’s dead.’

A menacing growl rips out of me as I glare at my two most trusted men. Where the fuck were they when Gianna was being kidnapped?

“How did this happen? Why didn’t no one protect her?” I snarl viciously, anger threatening to consume me.
