Chapter Thirty One

"Okay, here comes the first cake for the birthday boy!" Tristan announced. They all turned to the direction of the kitchen and watch Tristan as he was presenting the cake which was on a tray with Rex, following with can drinks, Minna and Sandy with the cookies and puddings and lastly Debby and James with the macaroons and coffee jellies.

Not all the cookies, puddings, macaroons and coffee jellies were presented. They left some for the party in the evening.

Alan was so happy. He couldn't stop smiling as he looked around at the most important peoples in his life. Everyone was there. Uncle Colten also kept his promise and came early.

He was so happy. Today was one of the happiest days of his life. Tristan placed the cake on the center table with Rex, Minna, Sandy, Debby and James also placing their loads on the table.

The cake was a strawberry and chocolate cake just as Alan loved with a candle in a shape a number 5. Alan was turning five today. He was gowning and it wouldn't be long, he would be a grown man and finally get to drink wine. He smiled at the thought. 'Nice' he said in his cute mind.

"Alan, you're thinking about how you're going to drink wine when you grown up again right?" Lvan said. With widened eyes, Alan asked lvan, "How did you know?" Everyone burst out laughing.

"Now, hold your horses there baby, I don't want my kid drinking and you are not growing up anytime time soon again?" Tristan said before taking a seat beside Alan and pulling the kid into his arms.

"Tris is right. Listen to your Tristan Alan" Marie voiced out. Feeling defeated, Alan admitted defeat, "Fine"

"Okay, now let's cut the cut" Rex who was seated beside Colten said. A smile spread on Alan's face.

Tristan took the bread knife holding out Alan's hand on it with lvan also placing his hand on Alan's. They held the knife together and with their beloveds singing the birthday song for Alan, Alan blew the light on the candle out, made a wish before they slowly helped Alan cut the cake.

They clapped together after the cake was cut but Alan wasn't done yet. "I want to cut the cake with uncle Rex and grandparents too.

They smiled at Alan and got up. Rex, Marie and Jack held the knife together with Alan as they cut through the side of the cake. It still wasn't enough. One by one, Alan cut each side the cake with everyone present. Even James, Debby, Minna and Sandy took part.

Chris felt a hug lost when Colten refused to cut the cake together with him and Rex. This was the only chance he had to touch Colten but Colten was enough more stubborn than Alan. Chris knew he was the reason why Colten didn't want to cut the cake with both him and Alan. Just what the fuck did he do wrong?! Shit! This damn avoidance and ignoring game was getting out of hand.

In the end, Colten ended up cutting the cake with Roy and Alan. Everyone present except Alan could feel something wasn't right between Chris and Colten. Colten's stubbornness in not wanting to cut the cake with Chris and the sad expression which appeared on Chris's face was the proof.

But it was a special occasion. It was Alan's birthday and so they decided to drop it and talk about it later.

They drunk, eat and talked about others things but mostly of how good Tristan's sweets were. Though he didn't do it alone, they gave him all the credit even the people who helped did so too.

"Thank you so much Tris. Thank you for baking the cake and everything else" with a sweet smile ofor his son, he answered, "Thank you baby, but I didn't do it alone. What do you say?" Tristan said, wiping the traces of cake on Alan's lips with a tissue.

Hearing Tristan out, Alan turned to look at Alan, James, Sandy and Minna, that was after Tristan finished cleaning his lips. "Thank you so much Uncle Rex, Auntie Debby, Sandy and Minna"

"You're welcome young master Alan" James, Debby, Sandy and Minna replied while Rex responded with, "You're most welcome my dear nephew"

"Ah, so tired and so full" Chris said with a smile. His problem with Colten wasn't going to get him down to the point of losing himself. He had to pull himself together. At least for today.

"I had a lot of fun, daddy, Tris" Alan said, looking at lvan and Tristan with a beaming look. "Well, I'm glad. But you know, it isn't over yet. The whole pack will come celebrate with us in the evening too" lvan said, smiling down at Alan. "Really?" The cub asked, "That's right Alan, all your friends will be here" Alan wasn't that happy to hear that the kids in the pack would be coming. In fact it was bad news to him, but, he didn't show it on his face either.

He didn't want to ruin the special and happy moment they were in. "I see" he smiled brightly at Tristan. Tristan could see something was wrong with Alan but he couldn't pinpoint.

"Are you okay, baby?" He whispered into Alan's ear. Alan flinched for a second. He was going to get caught! No! He couldn't let that happen. "I....I'm fine Tris" Alan said and hugged him. Tristan who wasn't convinced begun to ran his hand through Alan's hair.

"Oh, right, Alan, what did you wish for?" Lvan asked. They all turned to at the kid in lvan's arms. Alan looked at them, a smile appearing on his face.

"You could only make three wishes. What did you wish for?"

"I wished that everyone here will live for a long time and will always be happy. My second wish was that, everyone here who doesn't have a mate will find their mates soon. My third wish is that, daddy and Tristan will always be happy together and will never separate. My fourth wish is a secret" They all stared at Alan with widened eyes. The kid thought about them before anything else.

"But you have only three wishes" Even said. "My fourth wish was actually a request. I'm sure the deities will answer. Tris said they always do. Right Tris?" Tristan smiled, hugging his son.

The kid was really one of a kind. Thinking of his family before himself. He was going to be a good alpha. Tristan just knew it. He would be. He was his and Lvan's after all.
