My phone rang as I entered Silver Moon borders. I chose to ignore it the first few times. I did not need any distractions. Zoe was the only one that mattered and I could not afford to be late. I did not want to imagine that scenario.

But when the caller was persistent, I had to attend it and put it on speaker,

"This better be good!" I growled.

"I'm afraid, Alpha, it's not. It is, in fact, quite bad." It was Luca and he sounded worried.

"Make it quick, Luke." I ordered.

"Alpha. The detailed report will be ready by-" He started but I interrupted impatiently, "Get to the damn point."

"Yes, Alpha. A couple of hours ago, John slipped his tail. His last known location is the woodlands near the ex-beta Simmons' house at the edge of the Silver Moon territory." He told and I suddenly things clicked.

"Shit!" I banged the steering wheel but refocused. A road accident was not going to help anyone.

"What are my orders?" He asked.
