Chapter Ninety-Four

Tyler’s POV

The past knocked and I made the mistake of opening it.

All I had ever caused her was pain!

i could not help but feel a mix of guilt and confusion. It started when Emily and I were about to have our private time, something we did often since I felt estranged from Jasmine.

We were in our usual spot, the room bathed in the soft light of evening, when Mark barged in without knocking. His face was a storm of emotions, his eyes blazing with barely contained anger. It was unlike him to interrupt, but the look on his face suggested something serious.

"Tyler, I need a word,"

he demanded, his voice tense.

Emily looked at me, her brow furrowed in concern, but I sighed and got up, pulling on my clothes.

"This better be important,"

I muttered, irritation seeping into my tone.

Mark led me out of the room and into a quieter part of the palace. As soon as we were alone, he rounded on me.

"How could you treat your Luna like this, Tyler? She deserves better."
