I was getting tired of all the problems we started facing since Tyler came back into the scene. Jasmine had always had a reason to cry because of this guy, and now the twins were nowhere to be found. I held back my tears as I watched Jasmine look all sad and gloomy. This was not the usual beautiful Jasmine; she had grown so lean and malnourished, her eyes puffy from lack of sleep, crying, and stress.

I remembered the first time I met her. It was a cold, rainy evening, and the streets were nearly deserted. I had been walking home after a long day at work, my mind preoccupied with mundane worries. Suddenly, I heard frantic footsteps and desperate panting from behind. I turned around and saw a young woman running towards me, her eyes wide with terror. She was drenched from the rain, her clothes clinging to her as she stumbled forward.
