Wilhelm rolled in his bed as he pried his eyes open. Who the fuck was calling him this late a t night? He stretched out his arm and reached for his phone. Popping himself up on his elbow, he read the caller ID, cursing hard when he realized who it was.

Why the heck didn’t she call him since? Why now, when he was tired?

Sighing, he answered and put the phone to his ear.

“Leira, what is it now? I told you to never call me at night.”

“I was really worried about you. Willy, don’t you think it’s time you came home?”

Wilhelm didn’t consider that gigantic palace as his home, but he wasn’t ready to tell Leira that. “My name is Wilhelm, not Willy. Besides, I did tell you that I would only return after my position as the Crown Prince has been secured. So, if you’re calling to say this, end this call at once.”

She sniffed. “Your cruel words affect me. Surely you mustn't plan on leaving me here all alone.”

He bristled. “You’re not alone. My sisters are there, my brother as well.”
