CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Elevena had lost sight of Damon while she was setting her clothes, and now she was standing alone in the moonlight, between a deep and dense forest, having no idea where she is or how she to get out of there.

 She tried calling Damon's name but received no response, and soon became anxious, but as if that wasn't enough, she heard a noise coming from behind the bushes.

It was snarled, and Elevena thought Damon was making a joke to scare her. "Damon, is that you?" Elevena asked, scared, taking steps towards the noise.

She had no idea why Damon had brought her here in the first place, but now that she was here, he was nowhere to be found.

Elevena speculated that he had brought her here for a number of reasons, including the possibility that he wanted her to be eaten by a wild animal.
