Justification

I have no idea what was going through my father's head, but whatever it was, it made me despise him even more. He was the only person who didn't care about me when I needed him the most, but now that I'm doing well and am happy to be able to rely on myself, he has all of a sudden remembered that he is my father and that he needs to look out for me.

For him, it was not a big deal, but it meant a lot to me. How could he possibly believe that I will forgive him and start living my life in accordance with what he recommends?

As I walked past him, I said, "Dad, if we're done here, I'd like to go back to my room and rest because I have a flight in the morning." However, he grabbed my arm and said, "Can you not listen to me just this once?"

I jerked my arm out of his grasp while laughing and said, "I believe that I have already made myself clear enough for you to understand."
