Chapter 32: Unworthy

Narrator

“Aphrodite, no!” Ares yelled for her to stop talking. He moved past Typhon but was rapidly grabbed by the back of his neck and body slammed through a stone chair. The chair laid in pieces all around Ares. The black claws of Typhon’s dragon protruded from his fingertips and extended into the back of Ares neck, effectively holding him against the floor with no effort or struggle at all.

Aphrodite heard Ares’s yell for her to stop, but she had no choice. Selene wouldn’t hesitate to behead her if she didn’t come out with the truth, and no man was worth that.

“The truth Aphrodite!” Zeus commands.

“What Selene said is all true!” Aphrodite cried as she spoke. She still held onto Selene’s arm trying to keep the lunar blade from piercing her neck. “Ares did send Ryder to hell after I released the hold on his mate bond with Demi. I don’t know anything else though, I promise.” Aphrodite’s eyes pleaded silently with Selene.
