The school's cafeteria was still filled with students. All tables and seats were taken. Luckily, there was one empty table at the far end of the crowd. Nathan and his friends took a seat there whilst Isaac went to buy drinks for them. With the ball in hand, Nathan mindlessly spins the ball on the tip of his index. Without himself realising, Isaac had come back with four bottles in hand. He distributed the two bottles to Roland and Michael first, who took them with appreciation and started drinking in haste. Chapter 12: Hierarchy, Statuses & Omega The bossy nurse named Amanda, whom Chris found out from his mother, had long walked out of the nursery with her head hung low. His mother had openly reprimanded her of her behaviour and attitude, especially with the way she was treating Chris. Other than that, she was being held accountable for disrupting the peace and being irresponsible for not supervising a toddler. Everyone on the scene was shortly dismissed and the room was filled with peace again. “Charlie, are you ready?” Chris’ mother, Anna Kiz Lukeman, asked gently as she prepared the needle. The toddler named Charlie nodded his head slowly before holding onto Chris’ left hand tightly as he bravely embraced himself for the needle. Chris patted the toddler’s head softly, “It’ll be okay, Charl. You won’t feel a thing.”

Chapter 13: I Have To Win Taking the bus back to Nathan's place was not a peaceful ride. It was too crowded and the passengers barely left any space for Chris to breathe in. He could literally smell everyone's mixed scents of sweats and colognes from miles away. Unfortunately for him, as much as he wanted to block it off, they kept invading his nose. This was one of the perks of an Alpha. Chris was annoyed and he let out a low growl, letting them know that he needed his space and he did not wish to smell any of them at all. However, he knew it would not work since the majority are on their headphones, so they were deaf. Even if they were not on their headphones, they just ignored him. Other than that, those who wish to move away from Chris, could not move even if they wanted to. All of them were stuck in this moveable vehicle after all.
