“Maya, tell me what really happened when I had called you,” Mike said sternly. I avoided his gaze, as I looked towards the dense overgrowth. I could feel his gaze on me. I was at a loss on what to say. I felt his heavy steps as he approached, which only made me move away from him. “Tell me, what happened,” he demanded fiercely. I turned back towards him, he was two steps away from me. His eyes were soft as he looked at me. I felt like I could rely on him to help me out. I felt so odd thinking about it. “Nothing is wrong. Like I said, it was just a bad timing. I was really emotional because of the movie,” I said stiffly. He gave me a look. “I don’t believe you.” I huffed as I looked away from him. He was making it difficult to keep this charade. I didn’t want him to know anything. I wished he would be in the dark about this whole thing, but it was quite evident that Mike didn’t know how to give up. “Then…” “Don’t say anything other than the truth, Maya. I want to know the truth.
“How the heck do you know him?” Chloe snapped. I rested my weight on the door. Chloe eyes was out, and it looked like it my bulge out of its sockets. I tried to reign my cool, despite the fact I haven’t seen her like this before. It was a completely shocking sight. “Why are you asking this, and reacting like this? Do you know Mike somewhere?” I asked as delicately as I could. She gritted her teeth. “Just answer the question. Who is Mike to you, Maya?” I looked away from her. “He is the guy I told you I went on a date with,” I informed her. She was quiet for a second., then, she said in dismay, “You went on a date with him?” I pushed away from the wall, as I got some of my strength back. I removed my wristwatch. Normally, I wouldn’t let anyone talk to me so brashly, but the situation was as such that I had to bear with it. “I don’t understand this line of questioning,” I said calmly, and turned to face Maya. “If you have a problem with Mike, tell me. Stop overreacting,” I snapped
I sprayed a whiff of perfume, feeling so good about myself. Ok, that’s a lie. But, I wanted to look at today with a fresh perspective. I was so damn tired of feeling suffocated, and tired. I needed peace. And. I was going to make sure that it becomes my lifestyle. I placed it back in my small perfume bag, and then grabbed my bag, ready to bolt out of the door. Since, I got here, I haven’t read. It was marathon lectures, and drama that was my walking motto. I needed to change that too. Or, I might fail in the exams. I cringed deeply at the thought. I couldn’t afford to let that happen. It was time to buckle up, and make a mark for myself in this school. I wasn’t the most intelligent student there was, but I was better than average. I pulled a hand on the door, and was about to step out, when Chloe’s voice rang into my ears, stopping me. “Why do we have to wait?” She grumbled to someone. “Because, if we don’t plan our moves right. We are going to be utterly destroyed. We can’t let
My head hurts. I try in vain to be mentally alert, but fail. I was feeling like my body didn’t belong to me anymore. I wonder if it was because of that kiss yesterday. I hope not. But, it sort of messed with me, and I couldn’t think of anything for a moment. I staggered on my feet, but managed to stand back up. This was so insane. I felt Mike’s lips on mine, as it sucked my bottom lip slowly and sensuously. Damn! I had to stop thinking about all that. I had infused myself in horror movies, and sugar-free candies all through yesterday in other to avoid thinking about all that. I wonder if it actually worked because here I was thinking of that same kiss. I sighed. I need to think of Ian. We were going on a date this evening, so it was paramount that I think of him instead of Mike. He was my potential love interest. He didn’t have insane mood swings like Mike. He was a normal that I needed in my life. And, to make it more better, he was ho. He was one of the hottest kids in spadevill
“Maya, tell me what’s the matter,” Mike’s voice rang out through the phone. I swallowed, watching my insane reflection on the screen. This was insane! I couldn’t believe that this was actually happening to me. It almost felt like it was happening to someone else. It hurt too much to look at myself. What was going on? “Maya?” Mike called out. “I need you, Mike. I don’t understand what’s going on with my body. I think I’m going to go crazy. I haven’t gone through this…” I couldn’t talk anymore as I felt like my stomach is going to split open in various gooey substances. “Maya, breathe,” Mike ordered. I tried to do as he said, but it was so difficult when all my body felt it didn’t belong to me anymore. I literally couldn’t control what was going on anymore. It was out of my hands. “Where are you?” He queried. I took a haggard breath. “I’m at the cinema,” I said slowly. “Get out of there now. I would be there in less than ten minutes. Stall whatever you’re feeling till then.” Mike

The winds rushed in and out of my lungs as I ran like a manic through the forest. There was only one thing that propelled me forward. Mike! He had given me enough courage to run as fast as I could. I couldn’t afford to grow weak now. After what seemed like an eternity, I got to the clearing where we had that party, and my life had changed abruptly. Tears stung my eyes as I shook out my fur. I had no idea how to change back to human, but I mentally told my wolf what I needed, and I turned easily. I sank down on the sandy entails with tears gushing through my eyes. I needed to process all that had happened and I was seriously failing to do so. Mike, was back there. ‘Run, Maya, Run!’ I heard Mike’s voice in my head once more. I looked down at myself, and noticed I was naked. How do I go back to the dorm like this? There was no clothes around. My clothes had been torn to shreds somewhere around. I looked around using my sense. It came easier than ever. I noticed the palm fronds ar
Those words went through every marrow of my body, making me so chill. Mike was struggling to control his emotions from what I could see. I didn’t know what to say. It was as if my tongue got tied. Mike sat back on the bed, and slowly pulled himself up the bed. I rushed towards him, and tried to help him, but he turned away from me, his face stuck in a grimace. “I can take care of myself. Leave me for a moment,” he said sternly, despite the pain he was feeling. The man was something else. Jeez! I took one last look at him, and then slowly left his room. I knew he was slightly upset about his outburst, but it wasn’t my fault if he felt the way he did. There was seriously nothing I could do about it. But, still I felt so guilty for some reason. I turned back to his room, and opened his door slightly. He was about to pretend to be fast asleep, but his reflex was slower than normal, and we ended up looking at each other. “I think I should stay here. You may need something, and I’m
