An evil smile appeared on Elara’s mottled and wrinkly face. “Bring her here,” she hissed. There was greed in her eyes. She was waiting for Nina to get a virgin girl for the sacrifice.
The girl’s eyes bulged and a tremor passed through her body when she saw what was happening. The old woman with a blotchy face and scarce hair was looking at her. Her immediate reaction was to bolt to the door, but Nina caught her. She screamed and cried. “What are you doing Nina? If Alpha Drake comes to know about it, he will not spare you. You were such a good friend of mine. We all trusted you because you are Blake’s mate. You cannot betray our trust!”
