Chapter 89: Warmth

I sipped the coffee, and glanced at Damon, who was elegantly sipping his coffee.

From the way he held his cup to the way he sipped the coffee was really impressive. I can't help watching him sip.

Moments after, a thought crossed my mind, as I frowned.

Before I could even ask Damon, I noticed his eyes on me.

“What's wrong?” He asked, with his cold voice which he must not have noticed.

His eyes seemed less cold, so he perhaps didn't expect his voice to melt.

I heaved in relief. When he had asked, he didn't know that he had just helped me by saving me the stress of asking first.

I made sure I had a nonchalant expression, before I went ahead to ask my bothersome question. “Um, I haven't seen Emily and her parents today. Where are they?” I asked, as I darted my eyes around.

Unexpectedly, just as my question fell, Damon face hardened, as he muttered. “They have gone.” He said, shortly.

Looking stunned, I went ahead to ask. “What do you mean by they have gone? Gone to where?”
