Susan chewed on her bottom lip as she stood in front of the front door contemplating whether to knock or not. Last night when she brought him a sandwich he was surprised and calmly asked her to leave. She explained that she shifted into the apartment beside him and thought to bring him dinner.

He had appraised her skeptically before he took the plate and told her that Evelyn didn't live there anymore and she shouldn't show up again before he thanked her and closed the door.

But Evelyn has given her the responsibility to look after Josh. She breathed in deeply and schooled her expressions before knocking once again.

She heard his footsteps before he came to a pause. She was sure he must be glaring at her through the peephole.

After a long pause, the door opened to reveal Josh. He looked like a mess and his eyes were swollen, he must've slept while crying.

"I told you she doesn't live here anymore," He rasped in a low voice.
