Chapter Ninety Eight

LOGAN'S POV

Ava had been off and on with me ever since she came back from the summit and I couldn't place my hands on why it was that way. On some days, she would love on me and leave me no room to breathe and on other days, it would be as if I was her sworn enemy and I wouldn't even want to stay in the same room as her. I wanted us to talk about it but I didn't seem to find a way to bring it up and I didn't want to look like I was insensitive to whatever she was going through and the twist was that I didn't even know what was going on with her. One thing I also noticed was that she was nicer to me in front of the kids and when the kids were gone, she would become a little less nice to me. Apart from all of that, there was something on her mind that was keeping her away from me but no matter how hard I tried for her to open up to me, it always proved abortive and sadly, I didn't know wether it was from her past or if it was with the present but I was plagued by it.

"Alphonso, what d
