The journey to the Opricut Pack is awkward and painful as hell. We've been in tense silence for half an hour, and Jae hasn't even turned on the radio, so it really is just silence. And our breathing.

My nerves are about to burst.

"By the way, my dad told me we should be a PDA nightmare tonight," he suddenly says, as if he's hearing my thoughts.

'Fuck you,' I think, just in case he really is.

"Yeah, your mom told me the same thing," I comment, not looking at him. I'm still angry about the way he treated me yesterday, so I want to avoid any other issues between us because I realized that no matter what I do, I'll always end up losing.

Jae is right, he has the upper hand all the time, so what's the point of fighting? I'll just keep my distance.

"And are you okay with that?" he asks. This time I look at him. He looks so handsome tonight, in a full black tux and his hair perfectly styled.

I hate the fact that such a bad man is so handsome. It's so unfair.
