“Of course you’re gonna hear something, Laura. They’re goons everywhere,” Ricky said.

“No, Ricky I heard a familiar voice.”

“You’re mistaken, Laura.”

I’m not mistaken. I definitely heard a voice and a familiar voice at that. That voice sounded like a male’s voice. Perhaps, someone I know is also a goon and is part of the kidnappers, I thought.

Ricky and I slowly walked into the warehouse without alerting any of the thugs around the area.

We both tiptoed. Ricky was behind me as we bent down to half of our size while tiptoeing.

“Why are you breathing so much,” I angrily whispered.

“What do you mean by that? I don’t breathe too much.”

“If you don’t breathe too much then you must be standing too close to my neck. Back off now,” I ordered.

“You’re such a drama queen. I’m only walking behind you so we wouldn’t get caught. I’m looking out for you and you’re here insulting. Classic Laura,” Ricky said.

“What do you mean Classic Laura? Do you always call me this when I trouble you?”
