Chapter 31

Alpha Axel's POV

As I walked out of Rachel's house, the weight of regret settled heavily on my shoulders.

Athena followed closely behind me, sensing the tension in the air. I knew I had to make things right, even if it meant facing the consequences head on.

"Go to the car, Athena," I said softly, my voice tinged with determination. "I need to talk to Racheal alone."

Athena hesitated for a moment, her eyes filled with concern, but eventually obeyed and trotted off towards the parked car. I took a deep breath, steeling myself for what was to come, and turned back towards the house.

I approached Rachel cautiously, my heart pounding in my chest. "Rachel," I pleaded, "please, let me explain."

She looked at me with a mix of anger and hurt in her eyes, clearly reluctant to hear me out. After a moment's hesitation, she sighed and reluctantly agreed. "Fine," she said curtly, "but make it quick."
