Alpha Axel's POV

I woke up to the soft rays of the morning sun filtering through the curtains, casting a warm glow over Rachel's sleeping form beside me.

I carefully pulled myself from her embrace and tiptoed out of her room, making my way to my own.

As I entered my room, I was surprised to see Athena sitting by the window, her gaze fixed on the world outside.

It had been weeks since I had last seen her, ever since I had left and humiliated her. I approached her cautiously, unsure of what to expect.

Athena turned to me, a small smile playing on her lips. "Good morning Alpha Axel," she said softly.

I was taken aback by her unexpected warmth. "Athena," I said, my voice tinged with surprise. "What are you doing back here?"

She stood up and walked towards me, her eyes searching mine. "I missed you," she said simply, reaching out to hug me.

I pushed her away, my heart pounding in my chest. "Athena, we can't do this," I said firmly. "You know that."
