Broken tables, scattered items, and chorus of growling was what welcomed me at the party hall, I repeated my question as half-shifted Carver had clutched Liam in his claws.

“Calm down, Carver. What happened? Why are you doing this?”

Instead of Carver, Liam screamed at the top of his lungs.

“Sky, uncle… Look at them, sister!”

Then my stupefied gaze fell at the other corner of the hall, where Uncle Desmond was tackling a mud-colored lycan to the ground.

The blue shirt on uncle’s body was gone as fur erupted from his skin, he was trying his best to subdue that beast.

Initially, I thought that a mad lycan had barged into the party and created chaos, but then Zayden’s worried claim clarified the situation.

“It’s difficult to stop an unmated lycan from marking, uncle. Use your authority as a guardian.”

Zayden stood next to me protectively and eyed Beta Alex, he charged at Carver.

“Why are you torturing a human? Set him free at once.”
