The Shadow!

Author’s P.O.V:

In a dim-lit room, Sylvia was pacing back and forth, her enchanting countenance darkened with worry. She gazed up at the wall clock and shrugged, cursing inwardly.

“Five minutes over our agreed time. Where are you, shadow?”

She finger-combed her blonde hair and fidgeted with her blazer. A gentle knock on the door rejuvenated her mood, her blue eyes were fixed on the door in anticipation.

Suddenly, she burst out impatiently,

“I have been waiting for you for centuries. Why didn’t you receive my calls?”

But the woman entering the room sucked the air from her lungs, Sylvia was taken aback by her regal aura. She immediately bowed her head.

“I apologize for my bad manners. I thought you were…”

“My shadow?”

That gorgeous woman’s syrupy-sweet voice resonated in that empty room. She was dressed in a red, topless gown, hugging her slender figure perfectly. Her breath-taking beauty overpowered Sylvia’s strong aura.
