Chapter 46: Fond Of Her

CHRISTIAN:

I continued to wait, and most times I would go into Anita's ward to check of Emily was back or not. I simply had this strong feeling that she wasn't safe wherever she was right now, but since I had not even an idea where she went to earlier, I didn't know where to start my search from.

I walked back into mu office, and stared at the wall clock. It was almost 10, and yet Emily wasn't back. Two hours ago, I was supposed to leave with Lilith, but I just couldn't. Not without seeing for myself that she's back, and safe.

"Fuck"

As I dropped the papers back, there was a knock on my door.

"Come in."

"Here's the patient in room 305 files. I got it as you requested."

I nodded my head and signaled her to drop it on my table. Before she walked out of my office, I ensured it was exactly what I needed by briefing through it.

"You can leave now."

I didn't bother to raise my head and stare at her walk away but once the door was closed, I opened the files and began to look at them one aft
