Chapter 54: CHRISTIAN

CHRISTIAN:

After Emily left, the only thing I could do was sit back down on the couch and wreck my hand through my hair. I had wanted to call her back, but something inside of me kept telling me to let her go.

I couldn't explain everything to her, and that meant I would have to lie to her again. I didn't want that for a second time. Shane stepped into the house.

"Alpha, she left?"

I nodded my head and rose to my feet.

"She's heading towards the hospital, keeping a close eye on her, but without her knowing."

He nodded his head, but didn't walk away to do just like I instructed. "What's wrong? What are you waiting for?"

"So what's gonna happen next? What's your next plan."

I heaved deeply and walked towards the counter to get myself a bottle of wine. Once I got it, I brought out a glass, and poured myself a little quantity just so I would feel the taste.

"I have not even the slightest idea. You'll take care of the hospital from now on Shane, especially because Emily's still over there.
