AUTHOR'S POV:Mia halted her car right in front of the mall's parking lot and stepped down from it. She let out a wide smile, as she stared at the environment. How long had it been since she last came to this mall to get some super expensive items with her brother's card? Since Christian's former mate died, Mia thought he would have no reason to smile, be cheerful, or even start a conversation with her, but all that changed with the presence of Emily.A few years ago, she had left her brother because he was too broken and he had requested that she leave the pack for her safety and go somewhere far. Mia had watched her brother sink into darkness after losing his mate, she watched him let go of everything that he had leaving everything in the hands of Shane simply because he thought he couldn't continue without his mate. The one person Mia had to be thankful to was Shane because even as her brother's beta he stood by him and continued handling everything without any feeling of greed. S
CHRISTIAN:Halfway home, I felt a very sharp pain around my chest before realizing that my heart was also hurting so bad. Unable to continue driving, I had to pause the car and step down to take a deep breath in and out. Something was wrong and I could feel it. It was like there was a boundary, but I could still feel it.I took a deep breath in and tried to ask myself what was wrong, but Kyle spoke to me, "It's our mate!" My eyes instantly turned red, making me try to feel Emily's mind, but I couldn't. It was blank, and I couldn't even feel her. With enough speed, I rushed back into the car, ignited the engine, and drove away.My shaky hands reached for my phone, but they were unable to switch it on. I got a grip of my fingers and switched on my phone. When I found Emily's number, I quickly dialled it praying deep down that Emily would answer the call so I would become calm a bit and not just head back home looking like this. The third time the phone rang, nobody answered, and when I
TYLER:I had just finished signing the last paper and handed it over to Zane."So how was it? Did you meet her?" Zane nodded his head, making me let out a small smile. I was certain that I could trust Zane and what he was capable of doing, after all, he was my beta and no one knew him better than me."Keep following her, Zane, and you know what to do after that. I hope you also know your boundary?" As soon as he nodded his head, I rose to my feet. I could use Mia to get a lot of information if Zane gets her in his grasp. That was all that I wanted at the moment, and if I got everything I needed on Christian, then I would strike first. Some of his weak spot was all that I needed."I need to get going now, Zane. What about Karen?""She's still that way, and she hasn't said a word to any of the maids taking care of her, and she hardly takes her meal. Sometimes she speaks to herself and...""That's enough, Zane. If you badly want me to go see her just say so and stop using this tactic."

CHRISTIAN:"Brother!" I heard Mia's voice and immediately turned around. She ran to me and hugged me without wasting time. "Oh my goodness, what happened?""I have no idea. I came home and...""It's okay. Emily's going to be okay brother, I promise. She's strong, she's a strong fighter and she'll fight it no matter what.""What if I lose another...""Don't say it, brother. Don't say such words. You won't lose Emily, I promise you, nothing's going to happen to her, okay." I broke the hug and took a deep breath in so I could calm myself. "You should go home and check on Lilith, I couldn't bring her along.""Is she alright? Did she..."I nodded my head in response, "She was there, and I'm very certain she would be really worried not seeing Emily.""Shit! I should go check up on her. Promise you'll call me if you hear anything. I'm really worried." I kissed Mia on her cheek and nodded, "I'll call you the moment I hear anything. Now go check up on Lilith."I watched her turn around and beg
TYLER:As soon as Karen walked back in, I began to head towards my room thinking about everything that she had said to me. Karen had just a few months for her to go into delivery and these few months, I had to make her happy. It would be very hard leaving her child and for that reason, I had planned to make her stay with the baby for a month only before she walked away. At least that was the highest that I could do for her. As I got to my room, I laid back on the bed rubbing my forehead, and when I sat down on the bed again, my gaze went straight to the portrait on the wall. "Emily" I called inwardly staring at the portrait and recalling all the beautiful moments we had when we were younger. When I married Emily, I promised her the whole world, but I failed because I desperately wanted an heir. The most painful part was my not recognizing that she was pregnant. If I had known earlier, I would never have taken Karen in as my Luna, and I would have stuck to my promise. My phone rang, br
THREE DAYS LATER:EMILY:I've been here for three days, in this cold and dark place, walking endlessly and hoping to find a way out soon. I had no idea what was going on in the real world or if I was dead or not. "Moon goddess, please help me, I don't wanna die, not yet," I begged for the 100th time, but everywhere was still dark and so quiet, making me fall to my knees because I was tired. She wasn't going to listen to me, she wouldn't hear my cries and my pleas.Of course, I had agreed to this, but that was when I didn't know I would find this much happiness in the world after I died."Please, listen to me. You can do this to me, to him, to Lilith." I wasn't worried about myself, I was more worried about Christian and Lilith, most especially Lilith. How was she coping without me? She must have watched me and cried her eyes out. I buried my face in my palm, slowly losing all hope of someone helping me or the moon goddess giving me a response. Maybe this was the end, and it was my tim
CHRISTIAN:I was still holding Emily's hand, and more than anything at this moment, I didn't want to let it go. I kept rubbing her hair gently, staring at her, and telling myself that she would definitely wake up soon.I picked my phone from the table and dialed Mia's number because I had been expecting her to get over here with Lilith. I was worried about her because, for three days, I had not seen her, and based on what Mia had told me, Lilith badly wanted to see Emily as well. Maybe that might be what Emily needs right now, to hear Lilith's voice.Mia picked when the phone rang again, "Hey, where are you?""We're almost at the hospital, brother.""And where's Shane?"I knew my stubborn sister and that was the main reason I asked of Shane. I still can't seem to figure out why Mia dislikes Shane so much when it was so obvious in the past that she liked him but was too scared to go after him. "I left him back at the mansion.""What? I gave a fucking strict order Mia. You have no idea
