Melissa’s POV

I sat down in the living room listening to the good news and more updates about the war. The joy in my heart knew no bounds and I've never felt more at peace like I do right now.

My phone rang, and I glanced over to see it was from an unknown caller. Not many people have my phone number, and the few who did, I have their contacts saved.

"Hello?" I answered gingerly.

"Hey babe," I heard the familiar voice I hadn't heard in a long time.

"Alfredo?" I asked in disbelief.

"Yes baby, missed me?" He asked smugly.

I hissed. "Shouldn't you be hiding your head in shame, you lost, remember?" I mocked. "You just got humiliated, and still have the guts to call me? How shameless can you be?"

Alfredo chuckled darkly. "I may have lost the battle, but I definitely won the war."

"You're delusional, Alfredo," I told him. "A little piece of advice, run and never look back," I said flatly and ended the call.

The phone rang again in less than two seconds.

what is this? a story full of foolishness...oh oh....I hate to say this, but this flow of story is kind of worthless...its better to end this story early than make it long,,,from start to end,,your FL here is the worse of all the stories I've read in this app...sorry to tell...
