Chapter 28

Alfredo’s Pov

The bed felt uncomfortable to my body. I stood up walking to the window to stare at the sky. The sun was high in the sky, shedding its rays around me. Sheila slept peacefully, her soft snores caressing my ears at that moment, but it couldn’t lure me back to bed.

“Where are you, Melissa?” I said as I looked outside; the wind rippling through the room and sending the curtains flailing to its touch.

It’s been two weeks and I haven’t been able to leave the pack. A huge chunk of the reason was that I was Alpha now, and I was married, but most of the decision still laid on the shoulders of mother and Sheila’s father, yet they would not let me go out as I pleased.

I gave a sigh as I relaxed on the windowsill, folding my hands across my chest.

“We are not giving up our search for her, are we?” Dex asked. He must have sensed my troubled mind, but that was the most he could say, as we knew she hadn’t revoked the first bond, but the question remained. She only had to be in the sa
