Chapter Thirty One

Luka’s POV

It was unfortunate that Emily had to be at the receiving end for every time I was angry and she should just learn to mind her goddamn business.

After Emily complained about not being allowed to go out, I knew I had to do something about it.

It was unhealthy for her to recover and still be locked up but I knew what she was capable of and I didn't want her trying to escape again.

I don't know why I took her to that spot because I felt tormented.

That spot reminded me of everything I once had and I had lost everything but my anger had been replaced by sadness so often. I would have rather been angry than miserable right now.

I noticed how Emily was too focused on me.

She seemed confused as to how to help but I couldn't take it any longer.

After I said those words to her, my wolf wanted to console her, it wanted to reach out to her but I wouldn't let it.

When we got back to the castle, she got down from her horse and patted it on its neck like a familiar.

Her scent was off.
