I spent a perfect weekend with Cally, Anya and Alex while watching movies and eating junk before all of us started to drift away to sleep. It was past 1:00 A.M. when my stupid, inconvenient stomach chose to growl loudly.

Sighing annoyingly, I looked around to find all the clowns sleeping peacefully on the floor with their backs resting on the couches behind in the living area. My stomach growled again making me snort as I got up and headed toward the kitchen.

I had just exited the living area and was about to enter the kitchen when the voice of clicking the door knob landed in my ears. My eyes snapped up toward the main door while my body froze in its place as a tall figure appeared there.

My overthinking mind couldn't help but think of the worst scenario possible which had me standing there with a hitched breath.
