Forty-three

John had just suffered a torrid day, and nothing would make him feel better than running a hot shower down his body. Coupled with images of Sharon that kept blurring his mind, he just couldn't wait to get home.

First thing he did as he entered the room was run the shower, before stripping down to his shorts, he was about pulling it off when he noticed there was someone curled up in the blanket on his bed asleep.

Upon closer inspection, he saw that it was his wife. Could his mind still be playing tricks on him? Why was she here and not in school? All of a sudden, the idea of a shower seemed like the best he could possibly do, not after the horrid day at the office.

Considering the day he'd just had, he couldn't bring himself to believe his eyes, maybe he was still hallucinating because he misses her.

He stepped into the shower, and as the water ran down his spine, he let out a sigh of relief. He felt as though the water was rinsing out his mind, because his mind was gradually being empt
