Chapter 169: I remember

Bella’s POV

One by one my steps slowed down by a roadside bench and I took a very difficult sit. The evening breeze kept swirling the dried leaves swamped on the ground but that’s the least expected as I took refuge in the shades of a tree.

It’s long branches shielded my wandering heart from dismay.

I went out alone and it’s only right I walk back alone, well at least that’s what I’d like to tell myself was the reason for declining his ride offer while in reality I was just too confused and embarrassed to accept his offer. His voice still replayed in my brain like a wireless tape.
