Chapter: 174: War of memories

Bella’s POV

It couldn’t be said that Klaus question was an out of pocket shit but I was still gravely shocked at the anticipation in his eyes. At the very least I thought he’d wait till we were seated but I guess not. His full attention was on me and I was trying hard to appear calm while my mind was a complete mess.

Giving the situation if I tell Klaus the truth about how I met Louis, what would happen then? The outcome would certainly be disastrous but lying is just as fatal. I was conflicted! My mind was stuck in two worlds and it wasn’t until the car horned that I snapped back to reality.

Klaus still had his eyes fixed on me and he raised his hand to signal the driver. His gesture was clear, he wanted an answer before we entered. I bit the insides of my cheek and took a gamble.
