Chapter 180: Culprit

Frieren’s POV

My jaw dropped, I was beyond flabbergasted! It appeared as if time stopped for a moment but I’m pretty sure it was my brain that lost motion.

“What’re you talking about?” I managed to get out but shock and distress was still visibly smeared over my face.

“I didn’t mean to startle you but that’s the best solution right now. If you get my surname there’s no way the Harringtons would be able to take Aiden from you. Even if they find out there’ll be nothing they can do”

Our midst fell back in silence and my head lowered in thoughts. His words were reasonable but things weren’t that easy. I wanted to speak but he spoke first.

“Of course I’ll give you a formal proposal”
