The door was suddenly pushed open. I instantly rushed over to where Jasper was laid in case it was an enemy who had finally found our hideout. That person would be ready to deal with us, or kill me especially.

“You're here,” Ralph said, much to my surprise.

His words make me turn around.

I watched a lady walk in and rush into Ralph’s arms. I watched him hug the lady very tight like they haven’t seen each other for a very long time. Was that how much they missed one another?

Looking at the lady in Ralph’s arms, I didn’t know what to think. Should I be angry that he was so close to a strange woman? That he allowed a strange woman into where he swore that no one else knew of? Should I be worried that he broke his promise again?

I calmly walked over to the balcony, not saying a word to the two people who seemed to be in their own world. They seemed like they couldn’t let go of each other.

Was it all a lie, a facade? Hadn’t he been trying to get my forgiveness?
