Chapter 64

Ashley's POV

I ran towards the approaching figure and the smell of blood became stronger. It was a soldier and on his back was Allen.

Without a second thought, I snatched Allen from the soldier's back and fell on my knees as I laid him on the ground.

His face was badly stabbed. Blood splattered everywhere and I shook uncontrollably as I tried to apply pleasure to his wounds.

"This is not what I meant when I told you to leave me," I cried.

"It… it…was… Mattias….," He squeaked, choking on his blood.

"Stop! Don't say a word!" I yelled, shivering.

"Give way!" Someone ordered and when I looked up I saw a stretcher. I moved out of the way and they lifted him into the stretcher.

Tears pooled up in my eyes and I couldn't hold it anymore. I wailed as I ran after the stretcher.

He wiggled and groaned painfully on the stretcher. He would have tumbled down but for the restraint that held him bound.

My heart broke into thousands of pieces and I blamed myself. I regretted not following him down to
