Chapter 66

Eleanor's p.o.v

Ducan was holding my hand! That's what went through my mind as we walked.

My heart was rapidly beating, and I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

I was upset with him, although I dearly missed him and I couldn't bring myself to be the one to talk to him first. Now that he was next to me, I felt very happy and calmer than I had been.

I was also glad that he was relying on me to help with his people when he could have asked someone else.

"Watch your step." He said softly when we walked to a large bridge.

I looked at the water on the side of the bridge and then smiled widely. There were a few flowers on top with different colors and ahead of us were a lot of houses as well as green pastures.

As we got closer to the houses I could see children running back and forth while some sat down playing with small animals that looked like mystical pets.

A normal human being would have been scared over how the demon children looked because of their features, but I wasn't, after stayin
