Chapter 24

“This is reality”, Richard muttered under his breath as he took slow steps towards where she stood.

She was so lost in the peaceful scent that emanated from the flower and as such, had no idea that Richard stood behind her.

Richard stared at her intently as his heart suddenly raced. He felt his feet becoming wobbly and almost immediately, he was out of air.

He braced up and took in a deep breath, not wanting to fall for the lady at his front because she looked like the one in his dreams.

“Rule no 4: no loitering around my garden!” Richard said defiantly, causing Emily to swirl around in fright.

“I’m so sorry, sir”, Emily said as the flower she held flew out of her hands and landed on the floor.

Richard’s eyes trailed to the flower that laid on the floor, after which he shifted his gaze back to Emily, who was shaking in fright.

He chuckled inwardly when he caught sight of how naive and innocent she looked.
