Emily recovered from the shock of the day quite earlier than she thought she would. After Barbara had left, she stayed rooted to the spot for a few more minutes before finally headed over to her quarters.

She felt goosebumps all over her body as different thoughts made way to her head.

“Her husband?” She said to herself again as cold shivers ran down her spine.

She seemed to be getting a chunk of surprises ever since she stepped her foot into the mansion.

Firstly, she had met Barbara, who she had no idea of her existence. She had thought that the house belonged to Richard, since he was the one who handled the interview.

Secondly, the woman was sassy and arrogant, indirectly throwing insults at her as though she were a dumb lady who had no idea of how things worked.
