Chapter 59

“We are going somewhere”, Richard announced the moment he walked into the dining hall.

Emily squinted her eyes and swiftly swirled around, wondering where and why they would suddenly go somewhere.

“I’m sorry. I can’t be seen outside with you”, Emily replied with an unpleasant gaze, totally ignoring the shocked expression on his face.

“Such audacity!” Richard muttered under his breath but kept mute and focused on eating his meal.

Emily stood beside him, with a wobbly foot and a shaky breath.

After some minutes, she recalled that her job roles didn’t include what she was currently doing.
