At Kibich University, classes and every other routines were back to normal. The students were still terrified by their colleague’s mysterious murder though. To those that had seen her bloody body; the incident was still fresh in their memory. Various rumors were spreading amongst them about Elizabeth’s murder as they awaited for her tribute ceremony organized by the university.
Jane and Vanessa were seated at their favorite spot at one of the university’s study areas. They had some group discussions and assignments they needed to do. As they waited for Toby and Jonas, the other group members, they too brainstormed trying to figure out what could have happened to Elizabeth, the young girl that was murdered.
Looking worried, “I can’t believe that Elizabeth is dead. I wonder who could have killed her and why,” Jane wondered.

Talking of which, Claire was one of them and a homicide detective. She had a normal life besides carrying a gun and a badge. Family and Adams, the man she loved and was about to marry. Besides having to be around dead bodies often and chasing criminals, she did love her job. She was romantically motivated as well and hoped for a normal life with a normal man, whom was Adams. He was also full of life and a university mythology professor. He too loved his city and his job. Sometimes, they could cross paths with Claire his fiancée in the line of duty but it was acceptable up until one morning. The very morning that changed everything. It had just stopped raining outside. The dusky heavy clouds were clearing from the murky sky. The moon could be seen slightly. Very little light came through the tight spaces between the clouds though. The streetlights and the vehicle headlights gave the night a delightful radiance. The night seemed promising and full of life. Adams, a mythology professor at Kibich University was home. He was busy doing some research for his next class the following morning. On his desk was a half-full glass of wine, several ancient history books and a powered-on laptop. The T.V. was on but without volume.
