In one of the iconic university lecture halls, Adams was just winding up a history class. One of the students raised a question, “is it really true that vampires are mystical creatures?” he asked.
Adams turned around to have a good look at him, “history and mythology tells us so. Their existence has not yet been proven,” he explained.
Another student seemed concerned, “then how can you explain Elizabeth’s mysterious murder?” she inquired.
“There is no need for you to worry. I cannot know the workings of a killer and neither can you. I teach history and mythology not criminology. Elizabeth’s killer is just a psychopath…a special breed of psychopath and the police are doing everything to make an arrest and get her justice,” Adams outlined.
The students busted out into a nervous laughter. Toby could not hold without question, “what should we do in the meantime…before the police catch the special breed of psycopath?” he worried.

It had just stopped raining outside. The dusky heavy clouds were clearing from the murky sky. The moon could be seen slightly. Very little light came through the tight spaces between the clouds though. The streetlights and the vehicle headlights gave the night a delightful radiance. The night seemed promising and full of life. Adams, a mythology professor at Kibich University was home. He was busy doing some research for his next class the following morning. On his desk was a half-full glass of wine, several ancient history books and a powered-on laptop. The T.V. was on but without volume. The stereo played some soft cool classical music famously known to enhance creativity and high concentration. No matter how hard it was for Claire to break the news to her, she finally got enough courage. As Jane placed her bag on the couch, “I really missed you sis. I see you are still keeping the city safe and looking good as always,” she remarked. Claire reached to hug her, “I missed you too little sister. How was your trip? You look as good as well,” Claire commented. They both sat next to each other, “the trip was very okay. We really enjoyed ourselves. How is Adams? I thought he would be here?” Jane asked with a smile. “I am glad the trip went well. As for Adams, he is very fine and still in love. He was here last night and left this morning. We are okay. As for the city, I wish I could say the same,” Claire replied in a sorrowful voice. Jane looked more attentive, “why…what did I miss, tell me?” she inquired eagerly.
