Stay the night.

I thought about that, tossing from one side of my empty bed to the other until I slept off and when my nightmares dragged me from my sleep, I held his words like a blanket over my heart to chase away the bitter taste of fear.

I’m still thinking about it as I walk through the trees in the morning, I wonder what would have happened had I stayed as he asked.

“Something troubling you?” I turn to Rachel.

We are on our way to our assigned spot south of the territory, when we came in for training this morning, Naya explained we will be moving to the next part of our training, so we were divided into pairs and assigned enforcers to shadow until we learned the ropes. For now, we would be cutting back on the physical aspect of our training and moving on to field experience.

We still have to keep up with training though to keep our skills sharp. Micha and I are together with Sky, while Rachel and Matt are with Eli. But it’s close enough so we’re walking there together. Oliv
