Aria's POV

I tried to suppress the fiery emotions within me, plastering a blank facade of ignorance. My heart was beating out of rhythm as Kaia grew more ecstatic. Although, we both hated what had happened two years ago but the longing that she felt overpowered her anger.

"This is Nicholas Sainthood, my son's boss. He came here to visit our place and see what he could do to help us," the village head announced.

Nicholas eyes locked on mine, unaware of everyone's attention, so I shifted mine to something else. I don't want Miaka to doubt us who's like a dog that can smell immediately when there's something going on in between.

The villagers welcome Nicholas with enthusiasm and to not make everything obvious. I joined them. I feigned innocent and act as if he was a total stranger to me.

"He's so handsome," Miaka exclaimed, a lusty desire etched on her face.
