Aria's POV

The devil dare smile while looking at my annoyed face. He really can't read a room. I don't know what his plan is that he chose to disturbed my quiet life. Is he not done making me suffer yet?

"Stop acting like we're okay and that you coming here, talking to me, disturbing me, is okay Nicholas! Can you fucking grow up?"

I wanted to scream in frustration, but I was scared Mama Sally would hear. Nicholas appeared as if what happened years ago was fine—as if we're fine when, in fact, we're not.

The only thing I want us to do is leave each other's lives alone. We've gone through painful phases, and I'm at the point where I don't want to be involved with him again. My parents' death should be enough to put an end to whatever is between us, regardless of whether we're mated.
