Emily's POV.

I finished my task- if you know what I mean and came straight home. Now, I can handle this mess. Marriage? Really? Of all the things they could come up with it had to be marriage. First of all, I don't like Tyler. He is snobby, and arrogant and thinks he is always right, secondly, we are both alphas. We don't blend and thirdly, he is not my type. 

When I got home, I went straight to my father's office and as I thought, he wasn't there. 

"Where is my father?" I asked one of the maids I saw

"Ma'am, I don't know." She answered with her head down.

I went to the balcony and there I saw him. he wasn't really trying so hard to avoid me. he was just by the balcony, sipping on a glass of wine and staring at the stars. He looked relieved for some reason. At that moment, I want to yell. I wanted to yell to the whole heard my voice. Why would my dad put me in something like this? Arrange my marriage without even telling me.

"Are you avoiding me?" I asked as I came closer.

"How can I? You will find me before I run." 

We both laughed. There was a weird silence afterward.

"But father, why marriage? You know I can take care of this mess or don't you trust me?"

He chuckled. "This is not about trust Emily. This is about your future. Don't you think this is a blessing from the moon goddess?"

"What do you mean?"

"Don't you think it is a miracle? You were about to become a second wife and now you are going to marry an alpha."

He did make a point. If not for this scandal, the dinner we had would have been about finalizing I and Leo's marriage so in a way I am thankful.

"Besides," he added, "You like him."

"No, father." I refused that claim immediately. "That was just a mistake. We were both drunk and slept with each other. Besides father, you know we don't like each other…"

"That's not true." 

"What do you mean?"

"The both of you like each other you are just denying it," Father said to me.

"What do you mean?"

"I can see it even his mother can see it as well. The way the both of you look at each other."

"Father, that isn't true at all."

He looked at me and after a short while he said, "Okay, if you say so." Kissed my forehead like he always does and left.

What is father saying? how do we look at each other? Anytime I see Tyler, I feel like smashing his head on something, and that one-night stand was a mistake. A very big mistake. I don't know what is wrong with these elders sometimes. They don't listen to the younger ones and only believe what they want to believe

But is this really a blessing in disguise? This did save me from marrying that asshole, Leo. He should have seen my gift by now but still, Tyler and I don't like each other. He says I am an over-pampered brat and to me, he is a rude arrogant grumpy wolf.

No, I have to find a way to end this. I can't marry Tyler and I am sure he feels the same way. All I have to do is just find a way to end this and I will need his help. I just hope he is smart enough to do something properly.
