CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONE

Ella's pov

My dad and Silas went on with their different meetings after they returned, and I was left alone again in my room, in the company of my own thoughts and my gloominess.

I felt sad, but for no obvious reason whatsoever, and the only person that can brighten up my day is far from me and has a lot on his plate already.

"Can this holiday just go any faster so I can resume school.." I mumbled and rolled from one corner of the bed to the other. The weather was a bit cloudy, and it looked like it was going to rain, so I walked over to my wardrobe, picked up a black sleeveless dress, and my picnic basket from the corner.

"If I'm going to stay in the house, then I'll make good use of the privilege." I said to myself and ran all the way to the garden with my basket to pick up flowers. The rain drizzled, and I twirled around in circles, enjoying the wind in my hair and on my bare skin.

"Ella!" I heard my father call out, and I immediately paused to make sure he actually called me.
