6-Chemistry between the two?

Emerson POV,

"Venting your spleen?" I slid my eyes shut ready to blow a fist into his perfect face.

"Not like you. I didn't know you guarded your bad reputation like that." I try not to think about the letter Nicholas had one of his witches wired down to New Orleans

"You have nowhere to go as it seems," Monaco said, setting down the document on the balustrade and strolling towards another Beta that stood at the right corner of the entrance.

"What do you think you are doing? You should be in the washroom with other Omega washing the dishes." The head Omega hit me hard on my shoulder. My hair lifted in the breeze like a finger of breeze was playing with the strand.

The fact that I recalled I would be stuck here for only God knows when my heart ached. I stared at her for a moment and I felt a huge pain that covered my face.

"Come on, what are you waiting for?" I wanted to snatch that letter from Alpha Loworth's hand and tear it down. I Wish I had enough power to take responsibility as the Alpha of my pack and not that. . . I can't help but wonder how I will handle this.

I calmed myself and my wolf by muttering to her, that all we really need is composure.

I followed the lady by my side, side-eying Wren. She didn't mind my presence, this was not the first time we had met, and my attitude last night made her morning mood in turmoil- I had no other way to react, She was too commanding on the Alphas vendetta.

I'm not trying to be harsh but I feel like it's better for everyone she did not manage her mood to pull a long face at me the way she's doing right now.

"What am I going to be doing in the kitchen?" I muttered to my wolf, but I wished she could have a far better reply.

We entered the large kitchen, this place is nothing compared to where I'm coming from. The structure was old but had a clustering that made it aesthetic. I look to the right corner. I composed my head up and to the right to look at her. "Well, I thought you said there are other omegas in the kitchen, seems like it's only me and you."

She didn't take that lightly, she was sure to blink while she remained calm. I rolled my eyes, I couldn't think straight, Kitchen work? No way I rather do the ploughing than stay here.

When I looked down she cleared her throat, her index finger pointing forward toward the counter ahead, beside the counter is the sink. I squeezed my face.

I want out of her line of sight so I creep my face to the left, for a moment I can't escape her stare.

I lift my head she's staring straight at me.

"You should get busy, first with washing the dishes."

Without my consent my mouth was wide apart starting ahead of me, I was so busy admiring the right corner of the kitchen that I forgot to take ahead of the heap of dirty dishes to the left.

"How am I supposed to do that?" I swing my head in the direction, my forehead creased, "I'm just an omega, a new one at that and believe me even if you assign five to do these dishes they still wouldn't be able to finish it in a few hours."

Like I was talking to the wall she withdrew her steps back. "Let me get this straight, I want everyone here near as neat."

"What? Wait I'm not even sure this is the dish of the whole earth," I muffed out air through my mouth, I turned to go back.

Like a wife, the whole situation smacks me down, 'Nicholas!' I will make sure I crush him, but I feel like the one who's crushed here, stuck in the corner of the kitchen doing dishes. I followed my step back to the counter slid into my fingers the hand glove and grabbed the wash. Pumping it I freeware my face at the heap ahead of me.

While I was so worked up in the kitchen, my wait burned like a whole bunch had been placed on it, my legs were stiff to the ground, with only one mantra between me and my wolf- Omega.

I was a born Alpha, the fact that I have to work my way up to become an Alpha again is what I find ridiculous. And painful, seeing the members of the Pack running around shifting and howling on the hit afternoon.

I wiped the sweat off my forehead, resting my ankle on the counter, beams of smile washed across my face.

The boy snatched the cricket from the girl's hand and another boy was fighting for his back while an old man meddled, he was tall, his hair grey. And his beard, I would say, was scrawny. Somehow this scene reminded me of my childhood.

"Parents are the best heroes in the world." The smile on my face quickly faded. How on earth did she get in here without hearing the creaking sound of the door? I turn my gaze from the window side.

"What makes you say so?" I ask her. Clearing the table and removing the glove working the faucet to wash my hand.

She didn't reply to me as she came out here to mock me but I didn't react anyway, I know people like her, stick on getting validation from the Alpha and at the end of the day it will not even mean a thing.

She stuck her hand at my wrist and pulled me with her.

"Where are you taking me? Or is it you think in this pack to be dragging people singing with you even if they don't want to?" I snatched my hand from her grasp and stared down the staircase ahead of me. She was a two-step dog and I wouldn't want to break a leg working with a broken leg can be quite intimidating for me.

"No one will know you were an Alpha. . ." she paused. She shakes her head. "Only a few."

"I still can't follow you blindly."

Something was prickly inside of me, I don't know what it is but, I feel like everyone feels as if, when you're tired of staying indoors all through and a small liberation comes, I step forward a bit as her mouth twitches trying to mutter something. But later I find her chewing on her lips,

"Will you stay here? Alpha Loworth is an asshole and the head Omega will not let your nonchalance slide."

I smiled at her foul language, then cleared my throat. "Don't he hate that you're not acknowledging him? I thought he forbade mouthwashing him?"

She shook her head and stepped forward. "Follow me if you want to, New Orleans is too big for you to stay in the kitchen or maybe on the lawn soon."

"What?!"

I ran after her looking desperate. We hopped into the car, the drive wasn't too long for me to appreciate the pure beauty of New Orleans. When we got to a bus stop I could see performers dressed in different attire and opposite the articles was a six-story building, a glass house. My mouth couldn't contain the amazement.

I wanted to tell Wren to stop, like a mind link, She slowed down and then eased her car into the garage. Someone, I think the chauffeur came and she wanted him a key but nothing goes by without a flirt. I roll my eyes at the peculiarity of New Orleans inhabitants in her.

"What am I supposed to do here?" I ask starting at the empty wall and the centre table that had a set of well-arranged seats decorating it.

"She eased back. "What? Do you think I would easily go along with you? Pay for your disrespect Omega!" She yelled, throwing the towel at my face.

I shrugged my hand. "Really? At this rate, I will have to go to Mars." I eased my back into the big chair and rolled in it.

A few minutes later, from what I could decide from each of my heartbeats, "What on earth, who is to clean this place?" One of the two men in suits said as they touched the table and felt a speckle of dust on it.

I don't know but seeing Monaco discreetly communicating with me made my reluctance get stuck in my throat and I released a groan of hesitation and then walked off to the corner, grabbed the bucket and started cleaning. If Monaco is here, then Alpha Loworth is somewhere near, I gasped realizing I might be landing myself into trouble if he finds out about me, and Wren I owe her this much,

"What's she doing here? Monaco Emerson can not be here." He said and then eased to the side.

"I'm your omega, I'm here to serve you."

"Daring aren't you!" Our eyes collided, and I felt the mixing of the colours. "I want this meeting to go right for the first time, and Emerson you're not helping the situation.''

I'm torn between finding out what happened and that he doesn't want the meeting to go wrong and getting out of here as fast as I can.

But right now, I’m not looking at a man who is putting on a show to garner sympathy, so far his cold gaze has gotten worrisome. I'm looking at a man who’s sharing his thoughts out loud for the first time.

The more time I spend in Alpha Loworth's presence the more eager I am to dive back into what he's doing here.

"Be on your best behaviour."

"Yeah," I replied before I could even grasp onto the table.

"Alpha Loworth is having meetings with other realtors of the state. I look at the table, running my hand at the dark hardcover book. " I should tell them to wait. So that you can finish up."

Alpha Loworth's eyes remain on me, but it’s quiet. Sometimes a look between two people can last so long, that it shakes you. Forces you to look away.

So I take my hand and run it along the scalloped edge of the bucket then sneeze loudly trotting backwards. But his eyes followed me like a Mona Lisa but when I rubbed my forehead with my hand I don't know, a loud sneeze flew out of my mouth.
