Chapter 53: Grant pov

“That is the best thing I have heard all night. There is no way that a girl like you is dating a man like my husband. Look at you! There is nothing about you that would draw a man from this circle to you for anything more than a quick lay. So, enjoy this night while it lasts because I can’t see you attending anymore.

I growl low in my throat in anger at Rita’s words. So much of what she just said is wrong but also, she insulted my woman directly in front of me and I will not accept that.

“Ex-Husband.”

The room freezes as she utters those two words and I swear you can hear a pin drop as everyone is watching us waiting for what is going to happen next.

“What?”

“You heard me. Grant is your Ex Husband because he threw you out on your lying, cheating, botox-filled ass and now that he is looking to someone else for happiness you cannot stand it. But Rita there is something you need to understand.”

“And what is that?”
