ARABELLA POV

The dinner party was a blast. It was more than I expected, of course, given the short notice. Mia had made me drop my kids off with hers and the nanny, which gave me the upper hand to go to their house and spy on Rhys again. He did not like that I came. I saw it in the way he growled at my attire—a green sparkly short dress that had a slit by the side and a long V in the front.

It was perfect.

Craig had agreed to easily be my date, but I suspect that Mia had a hand in it. she must have convinced him so nicely for him to have agreed in the way he did.

“Enjoying the dance?” the devil of the topic asked.

“Yes!” I replied to him. “Yes, it is most marvelous with you.”

Craig smiled, but his eyes lacked the enthusiasm of someone who was dancing with him. That was his business; I did not care if he was happy with me or not. All I wanted to do was get his blood, which was my sole purpose of asking him to dance with me… and to make Rhys green with envy.
