Chapter 22

Julia POV

When I opened my eyes, it was midnight. The moon is shining brightly and lighting up my room. I pushed myself up from the carpet, shivering from the cold. When dinner arrives, Luca usually knocks on my door, but he didn't this time. My stomach grumbled, indicating that I should eat something.

I unlocked the door, thinking that he may have called me, but I was too sleepy to hear him. But the moment I stepped out, I was only greeted with silence. I went down the stairs going to the kitchen, but I found it empty, as were the living room and Romeo's bedroom.

They left me, what should I expect from him? I sighed, rubbing my stomach, which now started to hurt because of hunger. I contemplate the situation so I can take advantage of it. I’m alone; Luca is not here, and moreover, I'm one hundred and ten percent sure that Romeo would not return home like the other night. I should take advantage of this opportunity.
